Weigh-in & New Personal Challenge

I lost 2.5 pounds this week for a total loss of 109 pounds!

I also found out that there is a competition coming up at Slimming World. It's for Woman Of The Year, and the winner will be voted on from however many women fit the criteria. One of the criteria is that I have to have lost a minimum of 4 stone. Since I've lost almost 8 stone now (7 stone 10.5 pounds), I meet that qualification. But the other one is trickier. Based on my height of 5'2", I can only have a maximum weight of 10 stone 10 pounds to qualify. (That's 150 pounds.) Right now, I weigh 11 stone 9.5 pounds.

The competition is being held on August 24th. It only gives me 7 weeks to lose 13.5 lbs. Now that means losing about 2 pounds a week, which sounds reasonable, except that I am not losing that quickly anymore and I definitely am not able to lose that regularly anymore either.

Still, I'll give it a shot. Wish me luck?

  1. Hey there,

I meant to email you but couldn't find your addy, so let me ask you this about the calorie counting. You mentioned not counting fruits/veggies except certain ones. Which do you count? Bananas? I think it's a brilliant idea :)

    Thanks!

    1. Yes, bananas. I can't think of others off the top of my head right now though.

  2. DEFinitely go for it... it's a win-win thing to do! Ü

I found your site while looking for encouragement to press onward in my fight against body clutter... so enjoyed reading about your journey! and I am totally inspired too Ü

Realized that so much of my brick wall has been that thought in the depths of my consciousness that I really would like another child -- so why work hard to get off these last pounds just to start over again? Not good thinking!

Knowing that only God knows the future and if any babies are in my plan... it's not even sensible to stop pressing onward in weightloss...

Reading your blog just now put me over the top on that brick wall... I am wowed and encouraged

Cheering for ya to kick out that nother stone of weight before end of August!

    1. Thank you! I started losing weight while pregnant because it was actually healthier for me at the time. That baby has the best nutrition in the womb than any of my other babies!

    1. Slimming World has a chart. If you attend the meetings, you can ask your Slimming World consultant. For example, at 5'2" (if I remember correctly), I was supposed to weigh no more than 10st 4lbs (144lbs).

Sorry about the word verification. I turned it off and started getting tons of SPAM, so I had to turn it back on again.
