My weight went up a pound last week, but it was a certain time of month for me that normally goes up, so I'm not overly worried. Hopefully, tomorrow's weigh-in will show a weight loss again.
Losing so much weight has shown me that I can do things which I once thought impossible. And because of this, it has encouraged me to try and reach for other goals that are important to me.
So this year, I'm all about reaching for the stars!
That's why I have signed up for NaNoWriMo this year (National Novel Writing Month). The goal is to write 50,000 words of my novel in the 30 days that make up November. Today is day one. To reach 50,000 words in 30 days, I need to write a minimum of 1,667 words a day. Today, I wrote 1,788 words!
I can do this!
Wow, your writing a novel? That's great. I wish I could write. My mom used to write short stories and kids books but, unfortunately, had no luck getting them published.
ReplyDeleteReaching For the Stars is a great motto for the year. I am curious to see what you achieve throughout the year.
A novel? That's fabulous! What's it about?
ReplyDeleteKaryn - I wish my dad would try to write. He's fantastically talented, but he has yet to set aside the time.
ReplyDeletefatfighter - In answer to your question, I am writing a young adult fantasy novel about a teen girl who begins to be able to see creatures that should not exist. It is called "Through the Veil" and includes a lot of adventures along the way as the things from other dimensions start to gain a stronger presence in her world. Right now, I'm just writing it during NaNoWriMo, so it's absolute rubbish! LOL! It's going to take a lot of work when I'm done to make it presentable! :)
